We are excited to announce the migration of our token from BNBChain to zkSync Era, leveraging the cutting-edge Layer Zero omnichain interoperability protocol. This strategic move aims to establish SuperLauncher as the preferred crowdfunding platform for both startups and retail/institutional investors by pushing the boundaries of efficiency, security, and innovation in the crypto funding landscape. The Need for Migration

As the blockchain landscape rapidly evolves, it is essential to adopt innovative solutions that address issues of scalability, security, and transaction speed. Although BNBChain has served SuperLauncher well, the need for a more advanced and secure blockchain infrastructure has become apparent in order to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Why zkSync Era?

zkSync’s mission is to accelerate the mass adoption of crypto for personal sovereignty, which aligns perfectly with SuperLauncher’s goals. After evaluating various Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, we recognized the growing trend of projects gravitating towards Ethereum Layer 2s. These solutions inherit the security of the Ethereum blockchain while addressing issues of transaction fees, speed, and scalability. The zero-knowledge rollups technology, in particular, offers several key features:

High security, cheaper and faster transactions through zero-knowledge proofs
Transaction privacy without compromising transaction validity
Accelerated transactions and lower fees through group validation and rollups
Native account abstraction, facilitating mass onboarding

Benefits for SuperLauncher

We chose zkSync Era for several reasons, including:

Adoption: Since its mainnet launch on March 24th, zkSync Era’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has reached $100 million and continues to grow exponentially.
EVM Compatibility: SuperLauncher requires an EVM chain as its home base, and zkSync’s zkEVM is an added bonus.
Partnerships: SuperLauncher aims to serve startups, and positioning itself on zkSync Era allows it to cater to new projects and established ones that deploy on the platform.
Zero-knowledge KYC: With a shift towards regulatory compliance, more and more projects might request for a KYC’ed investor base and this method of an on-chain trustless KYC solution allows investors to verify their identity without revealing sensitive data.

Note: The migration is for our token LAUNCH and zkSync Era will serve as our home base. Our funding tech stack reaches beyond a single chain as we are natively deployed on over 20 EVMs.

Migration Process

The migration of the LAUNCH token to zkSync Era will be facilitated by Layer Zero’s cross-chain messaging technology, making SuperLauncher the first to leverage this tech for cross-chain migration. Layer Zero enables seamless communication between BNBChain and zkSync Era, significantly speeding up the migration process.

As announced, we have not forgotten about EGGs. As part of the migration, our loyalty token, EGG, will be convertible to LAUNCH at a rate of 1 EGG to 5 LAUNCH for a 12-week period. We have created a migration dashboard which will be provided for a seamless migration and EGG-to-LAUNCH conversion process. The link to the dashboard will be shared on our socials before the migration is expected to go live on 18 APR, 2PM UTC.
